കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിലെ അത്തോളിയില്‍ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വിദ്യാലയമാണ് . 1927-ല്‍ സ്ഥാപിച്ച ഈ വിദ്യാലയം കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിലെ ഏറ്റവും പഴക്കമേറിയ വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്.

School History
This school started functioning in 1924 as an elementary school under Malabar District Board. The school was upgraded as High school in1958, with 33 students. The Vocational stream was introduced in 1991. The computer education started in1994 and the school come under ITProject in 2002. The higher secondary course started in 2004 with science and commerce batches.
This school plays a vital role in the educational scenario of Kozhikode district. It excels in academic as well as cultural activities. The school can boast of having the best school library in the district. The school library has also bagged the coveted Kunjunni Master Puraskaram in 2008. The functioning of clubs adds much to make the learning process more and more student oriented. The school has got the award for the most number of clubs in the district in 2008. The organization, planning and implementation of various activities are real models to any school in our district. The unremitting toil on the part of the teachers and the learners is the secret behind this success.
There are three computer labs functioning in this school. This makes each and every student in this school accessible to new trends in the field of Information Technology. The work of a team of skilled and dedicated teachers helped much to this achievement. The other labs of this school, the science lab of high school, plus 2 and VHSE are sound and sufficient to meet the needs of the learners.
In sports and arts activities the school has shown excellent performance in yester years. Many athletes, sports men and artist of national reputation has come out from this institution with flying colours.
The galaxy of old students who are active in the all the corners of the globe is ample proof to our claims. These includes C.H.Muhammed Koya former Chief Minister of Kerala, Chathunni Master, former member of Parliament, C P Balan vaidyar, Ex MLA, M Radhakrishnan, Chair man , standing committee for education, Jilla Panchayath, Kozhikode and M Mehaboob, President, KDC Bank. The former teachers who helped to ignite the young minds in yester years include MT Govindan Nair, P Balan and E Achuthan Nair who won state as well as national awards for best teachers.
This school is a front runner in the advanced way of instruction. It has ROT facility and smart classroom. The school library has a record collection of more than 13000 books. The class libraries are active and self sufficient. The production cum training centre in the Vocational Higher Secondary section gives the message of earn by learn. The school is proud of its scouts,guides,JRC and NSS units. Many a student from this school has got the Rashtrapati and Rajya Puraskars which are the honours of high esteem in our nation. The students’ co-operative society is also functioning well at the school premises.
Now the school is on the path of progress. The result of the school for both SSLC and Higher Secondary has improved in recent years. It is now stretching its arms towards getting a cent percent mark. The teachers as well as the students are working together to realize this goal. Now there are a total number of 2202 students and 107 teachers at this school. The school is sailing ahead to reach its goal under the able leadership of Smt.K V Jayabharathi, principal, GVHSS and Sri A Sivaraman, principal, HSS. The PTA team is led by Sri.T Pushparajan. The PTA is functioning well. The MPTA president is Shahanaz.

6 ഏക്കര്‍ ഭൂമിയിലാണ് വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഹൈസ്കൂളിന് 7 കെട്ടിടങ്ങളിലായി 41 ക്ലാസ് മുറികളും ഹയര്‍ സെക്കണ്ടറിക്ക് 2 കെട്ടിടത്തിലായി 6 ക്ലാസ് മുറികളുമുണ്ട്.vocationalഹയര്‍ സെക്കണ്ടറിക്ക് ഒരു കെട്ടിടത്തിലായി 6 ക്ലാസ് മുറികളുമുണ്ട് അതിവിശാലമായ ഒരു കളിസ്ഥലം വിദ്യാലയത്തിനുണ്ട്.
ഹൈസ്കൂളിനും ഹയര്‍സെക്കണ്ടറിക്കും വെവ്വേറെ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ ലാബുകളുണ്ട്. രണ്ട് ലാബുകളിലുമായി ഏകദേശം അമ്പതോളം കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറുകളുണ്ട്. രണ്ട് ലാബുകളിലും ബ്രോഡ്ബാന്റ് ഇന്റര്‍നെറ്റ് സൗകര്യം ലഭ്യമാണ്.
